Founded in 1951, Weifang Medical University has the most famous English-medium MBBS courses in China which are mainly for bachelor’s degree. WFMU is in the List of Institutions and Scale of Enrollment for Undergraduate Clinical Medicine Programs Taught in English for International Students. Mbbs Program Description Teaching Objectives The course aims to educate students to study basic theory and elementary knowledge in medicine, gain basic clinical skills of some common diseases diagnosis processing, have the primary treatment ability to urgent, difficult and severe symptoms, and be qualified for careers in hospitals, the medical and health units, medical science research departments as well as other organizations related medicine. Main Courses (1) Basic Medicine Human Anatomy, Histology & Embryology, Cell-biology, Regional Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Medical Genetics, Medical Immunology, Path-physiology, Pathogenic microbiology, Pathology, Pharmacology (2) Preventive Medicine and Scientific Research Methods Social Medicine, Medical Ethics, Biostatistics, Hygiene (3) Clinical medicine Clinical Pharmacology, Diagnosis, Basic Surgery, Imagine Diagnosis, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Stomatology, Otorhinolaryngology (E.N.T.), Ophthalmology, Dermatology and Venereology, Nuclear Medicine, Psychology and Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Infectious Disease, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Clinical Epidemiology, Forensic medicine and toxicology Study Duration 6 academic years (including 1 year clinical practice). Teaching Medium English and Chinese   Degree Awarded On completing the requirements of the teaching program and passing the graduation examinations successfully, international medical undergraduates will be granted a graduation certificate and conferred a medical degree by Weifang Medical University. The English copy of the degree will state MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery). Career After obtaining MBBS Degree, the graduates can apply to take the medical licensing examination in the medical council in order to get registered and practice medicine. According to the regulations in different countries, the students may need to do the degree accreditation first. A MBBS degree holder can find jobs in government as well as private hospitals, nursing homes and other health facilities. Except this, one can also start his own clinic or pursue study for master's degree.   Fee Structure
  1. Tuition: 24,000RMB/year
  2. Admission deposit: 6,000RMB (explain in notes below)
  3. Registration Fee: 500RMB
  4. Accommodation Fee: twin room, 5000RMB/year/person; four-person room, 2500RMB/year/person.
The room is equipped with separate toilet, air conditioning, electric water heater, beds, wardrobes, tables and chairs, etc. There are vegetarian/non-vegetarian communal kitchens, refrigerators, and washing machines on each floor.
  1. Others: physical examination fee, residence permit fee, teaching material fee, insurance fee, etc. are paid according to the actual situation in registration; bedding is purchased voluntarily.
Notes: 1. Within 7 days after receiving the electronic Acceptance Notice, admitted students shall pay 6,000RMB to Weifang Medical University as an “admission deposit” and upload the scanned copy of the deposit remittance to the system. If the admitted applicant comes to the university for registration, the “admission deposit” already paid will be transferred to a part of his/her tuition fee, and the applicant should pay the rest of tuition fee. If the admitted applicant fails to register on time, the “admission deposit” will not be refunded. 2. Before registering, the admitted students should take the admission entrance examination including written examinations and interviews held by the university, which mainly tests students' basic knowledge and language skills. Those who pass the examination can get registered.  
Accommodation Fee:  1. Twin room：5000RMB/year/person 2. Graduation certificate of high school Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized. 4. Academic transcript of high school 5. English proficiency test certificate For example, IELTS or TOEFL, only for applicant whose native language is not English. Master Degree 1.A passport-sized photo 2.Copy of passport (the photo page) 3.Copy of your bachelor degree transcript (Notarized English translation if applicable ) 4.Copy of your bachelor degree certificate (Notarized English translation if applicable ) 5.English language proficiency certificate (non-English speaking countries) 6.non-criminal record or working proof (for non-fresh graduate) 7.study plan 8.two recommendation letters Doctoral Degree 1.  Photocopy of valid passport With photo, passport number &expiration date and name included. 2.  Passport-sized photo A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant. 3.  Master's degree diploma Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized. 4.   Transcript of postgraduate school 5.  Health certificate(optional) Photocopy of physical examination record. 6.   Two recommendation letters(optional) From professor,associate professor or equivalents. 7.  Certificate of English proficiency test IELTS or TOEFl will only be required if the applicant is not a native English speaker. 8.  Financial guarantee letter Photocopy of the signatured financial guarantee letter from his/her financial guarantor to prove their solvency.
