Changchun University of Science and Technology (CUST)

CUST is featured particularly in its powerful scientific research strength in the fields of laser technology, optical-electronic instruments, testing, communications, advanced manufacturing, computer applications, optoelectronic materials, nano-materials, bio-medical engineering and among others. It has also an outstanding achievements in humanities and social scientific research such as economics, management, law , and Chinese language and literature as well.

Over the years, CUST has been actively engaged in carrying out international exchanges and cooperation, and has successfully created an educational and academic cooperative network covering Europe, America and Asia. At present, it has established friendly and cooperative relations with over 90 universities and research institutions in more than 20 countries such as the United States, Canada, Russia, South Korea, Norway, Japan, etc.

Since the overall implementation of offering education to international students in 2006, CUST has accepted more than 2000 foreign students from 85 countries. At present, there are over 300 international students each year to come and study at CUST as language trainees, Senior Scholars, Bachelor’s candidates, master’s candidates or Ph. D candidates.
